Ghana’s award schemes are mainly dominated by organisers who mainly focus on honouring secular acts and celebrities and decide to add a category or two for the Christian faith. By organising the Praise Achievement Awards, Praise TV has began the journey to change that narrative and create an award scheme for believers alone.
The concert which took place on the 18th of December featured sensational acts from start to finish including, Bethel Revival Choir, Soul Winners, Cwesi Oteng, Diana Hamilton, Preye Odede, Proper Ochimana, Sonnie Badu and Sinach.

With several nominees all eager to pick up the crown in their respective categories, the night was poised to be one full of suspense and surprises and it did not disappoint. In the space of 2 years since its inception, the hardwork of the Kristocentric Station team in promoting the Kingdom message and artists was recognized bringing to Kristocentric a nomination for the Best Christian Radio Station award. The host of the Gospel Drive Online, Fifi Folson was awarded the Best Christian Radio Presenter of the year for his consistent efforts and contribution to the body of Christ through radio.
Ghanaian Gospel artiste, Joe Mettle, picked up 4 back to back awards on the night. Ohemaa Mercy picked up the Best Collaboration of the year with her song ‘Ote Me Mu’ ft MOG, Clement Affreh won the Best Christian Blogger of the Year and MOG won the coveted Artiste of the Year to cap off the night.

Serving God is the best feeling and experience and there is no doubt that the artists and songwriters put in their best to deliver content and tunes that speak directly to the heart and would echo in the mind of believers. However, serving GOD with talents and passion should never be about accolades from men. There are hundreds of nominees who did not win but it should never discourage them or anyone from continuing to work hard in the vineyard. Not all eyes may see the efforts put in but GOD does and in His time, the right honour will be bestowed on the believer.
